Now this song is another one of those classics that cannot be denied. It is so classic that there is a hand-clap-gesture that people do with this song. Plenty of rappers have sampled its instrumentals. Plus, it precedes the inclusion of social media and the internet into society. Thus, it is safe to say this song is genius.
Too bad many of us don’t have as much brilliance as this song.
Question:
I am in an internet relationship. Things are getting deep. However, we haven’t met. Also, he has put up no pictures of himself to identify himself. Now, I am leery of continuing on because there is an excuse every time I ask to meet up. Should I cut my losses or should I continue?
Answer:
Continuing or cutting your losses depends on how you would like your catfish seasoned.
I hope you have read the recent headlines with Manti Te’o. In recent times, he has been “a victim” of a situation where his “girlfriend” didn’t really exist. It was all a hoax. The calls, the messages, and even the shared feelings were all cooked up fuckery. All of that has flown down the drain. All of this foolishness happened because he wasn’t smart enough to check to see if the female actually existed.
Then again, if you asked others they would say that he was in on the hoax. It is 2013. People have done much worse for fame. Just watch (place the name of your favorite reality show here).
Regardless, you must ask yourself: what is your relationship status if he can’t keep it real? How far will it go before it is beyond redemption? How many days will he have up no picture (or a picture of Ryan Gosling) to impress me? When I meet him, will he look like Prop Joe? Better yet, will I ever meet him? There are a lot of questions to be answered.
Yet, many don’t realize the bigger fact: if you have to ask that many questions, then it isn’t real. If it is real, then you have to categorize it with unicorns, yetis, and Lance Armstrong’s dignity: non-fucking existent. Please understand: there is more harm than good in this situation. The issues don’t balance. Therefore, quit while you are ahead.
‘Nuff said and ‘Nuff respect!!!
