Baby, what love got to do with this? I have no clue. But I must admit that this is a classic Slum Village track. That Minnie Ripperton sample? Those drums. The mood of it all. This was, and still is, a beautiful song.
What does this song have to do with this next question? Nothing outside of the word “look”. But it is great mood music.
Question:
The saying “if you go looking for something, you will find it”: is it true? Please give an explanation.
Explanation? Sure. I think I may have one.
Sometimes it is true and sometimes it is not. Laymen’s terms: it depends.
Now, there could be something there. If there is a high possibility for something fishy going on, trust your gut. Your brain tends to pick up on subliminal signals, making sure that you (and your body) is ready for whatever it is at hand that seems “risky” or “a cause for concern” [1]. So, sometimes there may be trouble brewing. Think of it as card playing. If you were in a card game, you would be basing your subconscious choices on activity in an area of your brain involved in conscious risk-taking – the striatum [2]. During the game, a part of the brain involved in processing vision lit up, but only after the activity in the striatum. So, if you got a gut feeling about something (be it card playing or playing the love game) there may be something amiss.
Then again, one could be searching for gold and coming up with lint. This may be due to being disillusioned for so long. Disillusioned from what? Oh, the past relationships one has had. Jealousy, hurt, and shame can manifest into suspecting someone of doing something they may not even be doing. Yet, one may not even care. They will still look for something that doesn’t even exist. They will be steadfast in finding something. If they don’t find something, they will make something out of very little. Sadly, disillusioned people make relationships hard.
Thus, it all depends on the situation. If that person is suspect of foolery, then you will find what you find. If you are just a disillusioned being, then you will make mole hills into mountains. Either or, looking for things will have you finding things. What remains to be seen is if you will find out things about your partner or yourself.
‘Nuff said and ‘Nuff respect!!!

Indeed, if one looks for something, he or she will find something. As the bible reveals, “seek and ye shall find.” What determines the value of what one finds is how he or she chooses to look for whatever it is he or she is looking for. One’s mindset needs to focused on finding something substantive, considering if one goes looking for trash one will find trash–even if it’s really not trash at all: if one’s mindset is so clouded with negativity from the outset, then one will view what he or she finds with a negative lens when what is found could be deserving of only positive thoughts. Interesting topic and smartly executed. Very good job!

You fully understand what this article was all about.
It wasn’t about “giving blame”. It was working to make sense of people that want to find something bad about someone. They may find it. They may not. Is it a measure of their partner or is it a measure of their insecurity? That is the final decision to be had.
